  1. Preparation of Phase A:
    • In a clean mixing vessel, add 158g of deionized water.
    • Add 0.2g of EDTA-2Na to the water.
    • Stir until EDTA-2Na is fully dissolved.
  2. Addition of Phase B:
    • Slowly add 20g of SLES 70% (primary surfactant) to Phase A while stirring.
    • Continue stirring until completely dissolved and the solution is clear.
    • Add 16g of CAB-35 (secondary surfactant) gradually while stirring.
    • Mix until fully incorporated and the solution remains clear.
  3. Incorporation of Phase C:
    • Add 2g of PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate and stir until fully incorporated.
    • Add 2g of PQ-7 (Polyquaternium-7) and mix until evenly distributed.
    • Add 1g of Hydrolyzed Silk Protein and stir until fully dispersed.
  4. Addition of Phase D:
    • Add 0.4g of fragrance and/or dye (if using) and stir until evenly distributed.
    • Add 0.2g of preservatives and mix thoroughly.
    • Check the pH of the mixture using a calibrated pH meter.
    • If necessary, adjust the pH to between 5.0 and 7.0 using citric acid. Add the citric acid solution dropwise, stirring after each addition and re-measuring the pH until the desired range is achieved.
  5. Addition of Phase E:
    • Weigh 3g of salt (sodium chloride).
    • Add the salt gradually, in small portions, while stirring continuously.
    • After each addition, allow the mixture to stir for 2-3 minutes before adding more.
    • Continue until all salt is incorporated and desired viscosity is achieved.

    • Allow the mixture to rest for 10-15 minutes to release any trapped air bubbles.
    • Re-check the pH and adjust if necessary.
    • Measure the final viscosity using a viscometer.
