Formulation Procedure:

  1. Pre-dissolve Polyquaternium-10 (PQ-10), Dimethicone, and Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride in approximately 10% of the total deionized water.
  2. Start heating this mixture up to 60-65°C, while continuously mixing.
  3. Mix the surfactants, SLES 70%, AESA 70%, EGDS, CDEA 70%, CAB 35%, and CMEA 82%, in a separate container and heat it slightly, ensuring that the EGDS fully melts.
  4. Add the surfactant blend to the heated mixture in step 2.
  5. Mix well and start cooling, while maintaining agitation.
  6. Add Cetearyl Alcohol to ensure opacification and thickness. Continue mixing slowly.
  7. Dissolve EDTA-2Na in deionized water and add it to the product.
  8. Add the Fragrance, Dye, and Preservatives.
  9. Adjust the pH using Citric acid to achieve the desired level (5.0-7.0) and complete the batch by adding additional deionized water to reach 100%.
